I thank you. My husband thanks you. The Wonder Wieners thank you. That’s a bunch of thanks.
The Birdbath is Done
January 7th, 2010For now. Eventually, I plan to mosaic more on the base and around the rim of the top and probably completely underneath the top as well. But, it rests for now. I’m already working on the next project, although slowly. The birdbath has taken many months, working on it in between recuperating.
Meet Dazzle!
November 19th, 2009Authors love it when they get reader mail! We are so hungry for responses when we put our stuff out there in the world. So, thanks to Michele for sending along a note, with a picture of her baby, long-haired wonder wiener Dazzle. Michele was wondering about cats; specifically, do places that take dogs also allow cats? See, she and Dazzle are allergic to cats (me too!). I find that B&Bs are risky. Many live-in owners have their own family pets, cats and dogs, in addition to allowing guest canines and felines. Larger inns and hotels are a safer bet. I have to ask: how much does it cost per night? where’s the closest place for my four-on-the-floor friend to piddle? do you allow cats?

Go to Eyes on Fremont!
October 30th, 2009Run, don’t walk, do not pass “Go”, go directly to Eyes on Fremont if you need new glasses. Honestly, the best customer service I have ever received anywhere and their frames are truly fabulous! I can’t say enough. It was an amazing experience.
Hey Ma! Look what I made!
October 25th, 2009Created in my first-ever mosaic class. I used tumbled, recycled glass (my nod to 350 Day) and a found art glass butterfly that had been buried in our back yard.
…and in Edmonds this Saturday
October 15th, 2009A reminder that Off-Leash Area Edmonds’ 5th annual Halloween Howl is this Sat. 10/17 from 11am – 2pm (location/directions).
Given the recent attacks at Magnuson and Edmonds, we know many of you are concerned and have questions about how to keep your dogs safe. Grisha Stewart of Ahimsa Dog Training has graciously offered to host a mini-workshop for us on dog park safety, and will give tips on reading dog body language and preventing/breaking up fights. Come to the ShoreDog booth at noon for the workshop! There will be pet-friendly vendors displaying their products and services, a silent auction, raffles, reduced cost microchipping and of course the popular doggie costume contest (judging at 2pm). Hope to see you there! Erika SeatherPresident
